This double bill show was brilliant, truly brilliant. As one who loves history and comedy, I could hardly wait to see it, and I recommend it to all regardless of whether you're inclined to either. The writing is very well done, and the characters are very well acted - keeping in mind that the first play featuring Hitler and Mussolini is more satirical, and the second play featuring Dickens and Anderson is more farcical. I enjoyed both, and found each laugh-out-loud funny in its own way. Lastly, I really appreciated the fact that a fair bit of the script was taken from genuine dialgoue spoken by the real historical figures themselves. Using such a technique in writing can really give a play another dimension, in my humble opinion.
So, do see this show if you have the chance. If you don't enjoy it for it's theatrics (which is highly unlikely), at least you can say you learned something, yah?
