I think this reviewer was perhaps not at the show they thought they were, because they certainly didn't review the show I saw, and I was at this show. See my review for my own comments.
I agree. CVV is rapidly becoming known for its hostility toward local artists. I noted as I read through the reviews of the various shows how many excellent local artists are being panned by CVV. I have, in fact, seen this show, and the reviewer's take is completely off base. One gets the impression that she didn't get it at all, but this is not the show's problem, it's hers. At the show I attended (Saturday afternoon) the audience laughed their heads off.
