So the vulture pans another local show. Wow. I have yet to read a positive review from CVV about any local show this year (other than the kids' shows). What is this about? Is CVV run by a bunch of artistic wannabes who are determined to sabotage local artists? And by the way, I'm just a local theatre goer and appreciator, and am not in any of the shows. But I have seen four so far, all panned by CVV, and they were all great. I urge Victorians to boycott CVV reviews if you wish to support your local theatre community.
I agree. After threlfall's officious botching of the mc work for the fringe preview night I'm a little surprised he has the gonads to criticize any of the plays. Isn't it a bit of a conflict of interest to promote shows and then critically bury them? And how can a show with comically bad accents be taking itself too seriously? This wasn't the best Henry the fifth I've ever seen but it sure was better than CVV says it was.
